Hi Joe, thanks for your great advice! And my goodness, I can’t imagine that what your SLP and teacher put you through could have been the least bit effective. I would definitely have to agree about avoiding labeling a child as a “stutterer”; I imagine a label like that would have created additional unnecessary self-consciousness and shame in my own life. I really like your emphasis on acknowledging all kinds of difference in all people (particularly “some people talk bumpier”). :-) It’s wonderful to hear some real life experiences. Thanks again!
