Thank you for your kind comments, Melinda. I'll crank up my crystal ball one more time. As best I can tell, it looks like we're in a period of great interest in assistive devices, and the success of the SpeechEasy AAF device in capturing the public's interest will likely encourage other researchers and inventors to explore other new devices. The advantages of todays minature electronics, incredibly cheap digital memory, and lightning fast computing speeds open many new technologies for portable use in treating stuttering. I'm guessing the next decade with bring us several new assistive devices.
