Thank you for the nice comments, Kelly. It is somewhat interesting (and perhaps edifying) that many of the folks I talk about in this essay use Sackett's "old" more restrictive definition of EBP. The "newer" definition from Sackett, adopted by ASHA, includes the clinician and client in the process. And, as I point out in my essay, we are in a very early point in EBP in stuttering. The discussion, definitions, measures, and treatments will continue to evolve for many years. Give my regards to Dr. Manning and Dr. Mendel. Bob Q.
