Hi Lynne: Thank you for you very kind comments. I'll let you in on a secret: I sort of stumbled on to the phrase "Empathy-based practice." I was giving a workshop last spring and I was talking about EBP and said, "Perhaps as much as evidence-based practice, we need empathy-based practice." It got such a reaction from the audience that I figured I was on to something so I developed this essay for ISAD based on that. Go Cards! Bob Q.
