Well, now Bob, how do you teach empathy to young budding SLPs? Are you dealing with an empathatic population of young wannabe's? Our young people are longing for the "real" truth of life and you seem to be longing for the same in your teaching and teaching of the "old guard" to get real and stop counting and look beyond the syllables and words stuttered. Let's not debate the "tip of the iceberg' and realize that the emotional iceberg of the hard core stutter is a reality. The cry of the wolf in the forest is still being heard and if you are the lone wolf keep trying.
