Peter --- I'm afraid I have another question. Since I've started using voluntary stuttering my speech is much more disfluent, and I'm starting to hear this little voice inside me ask, after each time I stutter, "Okay, when am I going to be more fluent?" I'm wondering whether this kind of thinking reduces the effectiveness of voluntary stuttering. Is it okay to view this increased disfluency as part of the journey to smoother speech, or to truly reap the benefits of voluntary stuttering does a stutterer have to accept that that's how they talk and not have fluency as part of their goal? Thank you again for all of your help. Sophie
