This is truly a thought stimulating article! I'm a first year grad student and haven't had a fluency client yet, but I have a few questions. It's obviously important to individualize each client's therapy program and you mentioned that you don't have clients do voluntary stuttering if you don't feel they're ready. How do you decide when someone's ready, are there signs? What tips would you give to the beginning clinician? Also, if you decide voluntary stuttering is not the tool you're going to use at the time, what other procedures do you personally employ? Evidence-based practice is extremely important in our field for guiding therapy, do you have or are you currently working on collecting and analyzing current data in the area of voluntary stuttering? Thanks so much!
