I find your method of volunteer stuttering as a speech strategy to be intriguing. Particularly interesting was the fact that it enables the person who stutters to use their stuttering techniques because they will not be paralyzed in their stuttering moment. It appears to me that the five benefits listed in your article are due to the fact hat volunteer stuttering reduces the person who stutters fear in stuttering thereby reducing his/her tension, which ultimately results in more fluent speech. If this is the case do you believe that counseling a patient as to the fact that it is okay to stutter, can achieve the same results?
