Thank you so much for this article. It was really informative and easy to understand. I am a first year graduate student with almost no experience with people who stutter. I am actually in my first fluency class right now. In an earlier reply, you wrote about some of the students you had worked with in the past and some of the students you are currently working with. You said that you felt that voluntary stuttering was right for some of them but not right for all of them, i.e. one child had some family problems at the time, some just weren’t ready, etc. My question is how do you know if this approach is right for someone? How do you know when a person is ready and when they’re not? Thank you for your time. Amy
