Dr. Rentschler, Thank you for a very interesting article. Could I ask you to expand a little more on some of the points you made. Under emotional reflex you advise PWS to learn to use the second pathway, not the reflexive one. How could one learn to do that? You gave a good - the cell phone to cell phone - example of how to challenge beliefs. There are many techniques in this field, such as RET, NLP etc. Is there any specific technique you could recommend on the basis of your experiences? Under pre-emptive modifications you recommend to break up the familiar pattern. Although it sounds like good and solid advice, could you give some examples to make this concept more understandable for me? Under changing attitudes you advise to seek the help of someone else, for advice, feedback etc. Could you expand on what kind of qualities the helper should have? Should I think of a psychologist or a behaviour therapist? Let me say again I really appreciated the article and I hope you do not mind me asking so many questions. Best regards, John Kagie (The Netherlands)
