Hello, My name is Deborah. I am a grdauate student at Kean university in Union, New Jersey. On the first night of our stuttering course the professor had a person who stutters speak to the class. This gentelman spoke about his feelings towards his stuttering and the way it has impacted his life. His presentation was very powerful. I truely believe that all SLP's who are going to work with stutters should have an opportunity to listen to a person who stutters and find out what their experiences have been. I believe that in doing so the SLP would have additional insight into the minds and emotions of the person who stutters and would gain a stronger understanding and respect for the theraputic techniques that would prove benificial to their clients. Deborah
