Hello, my name is Elgin Grant and I am currently enrolled in a Fluency Disorders class at Western Washington University. I really enjoyed your article because you clearly presented the therapeutic approaches and related to the reader by giving a humerous metaphor and a visual example. My question has to do with self confidence. In your article you highlighted a person who stutters should predict when they stutter and try to find ways around it. Do you think that confidence building therapy may have a positive impact on a PWS to the point where that person may not need to try to predict when they will stutter but believe that they will not stutter? Thank you for your time.
