Tim, thanks for your kind words... and I be delighted to be included on your website. I believe that taking ownership of your stuttering is a major component of making the changes necessary to overcome the impact it can have. Its empowering to discover how much of stuttering can be in your control and how many of the behaviors and things we don't like about our stuttering can be changed. But, its up to us to change them, and taking ownership is a large component of that succcess. While no one likes to stutter and it feels like it "happens to us", that's "victim" language.... making it mine is the key component of getting past it. Allowing yourself to make mistakes ("its not 100% fluent, but that's okay")is part of the acceptance. Its hard to overcome the lessons of life as a PWS, but its at that point where "cure" is found. Thanks for writing Tim. BTW, you might be interested in my website too... www.stuttering.duq.edu
