It may be that the psychiatrists that you know, know this information. However, here in Milwaukee, it is not true. I do know of one that does know some things about it. But I know psychitrists that put stutterers on Wellbutrin with no thinking of their speech-this is documented in reports of stutterers talking to each other in person or e-mail listservs. No research.
