Diane, Thank you so much for sharing your story. I found it really interesting. I am in the process of writing a paper on stuttering in different situations, and how emotions play a rold in the amount of stuttering that occurs. In your paper, you mentioned that you stutter more when angry, more in public, and less in comfortable situations like the home. Would you be willing to share some other situations that you notice that stuttering declines in, as well as those that you begin to stutter more in? Out of curiosity, do you notice a stutter more when talking on the phone? Would you also be willing to talk briefly about why you think this is, and maybe some real life examples? One other thing that I have been thinking about is if it is known that stuttering decreases in certain situations, how often is this used in treatment to avoid stuttering? Have you ever used the situations/feelings that you feel more comfortable in to decrease your stuttering? Thank you so much.
