Dear Diane, I found your article very interesting. Adult Onset Stuttering is something that I am very interested in but know very little about. The emphasis in many of the texts that i have come across focus on the onset of children who stutter and the cause of their stuttering. There are some studies that have been done that have found that there is a geneitc predisposition to stuttering. I was wondering if you had a history of people who stuttered in your family? On a whole other train of thought...I was also reading some of the responses that you gave to other people's questions on the discussion board about the treatment for your depression. You stated that you started some new depression meds... which also made wonder if you experienced more fluency while on your depression meds or when less depressed comparitivly to when you are depressed, and if so why you thought the reason for this is? Any insight you could give me to some of these questions is greatly appreciated.
