Rosalie --- Thank you for your paper. I have no professional training, so I apologize if this question is too basic. The Lindcombe Program seems to focus mainly on the outward appearance of the child's speech (the repetitions, blocks, etc.). However, I would imagine that most eight- to twelve-year-olds, unlike their preschool counterparts, have begun to generate negative emotions towards stuttering (guilt, fear, shame, etc.). When the Lindcombe Program is used to help older children, is it used in conjunction with some other form of therapy that might address and help reduce these negative emotions? Thank you, Sophie
