I have had many school clinicians in lidcombe training workshops and they report good outcomes when they are able to solve some of the problems that we all have in a school setting; e.g., getting parents into the school; managing with limited time, etc. Since our outcomes and those of others show that the LP can be effective with school aged children, I am optimistic about using it in a school setting and will try to do a project in a local school board this year to test this optimism. I think that other programs that would be useful in the schools are variations of speech restructuring that focus on training only 1-2 fluency skills through modeling, and the ELU and GILCU as well. I think that one major problem in the school might be the time that is alloted to treat children who stutter. I appreciate your interest. Rosalee
