I think that I may have confused you a bit. I am not referring to children who were getting therapy that was stopped at age 8. I was referring to the statement that is often made to me by school based therapists who find it very difficult and frustrating to treat this age group due to a variety of reasons, some of them having to do with their lack of preparation, the time alloted for the treatment of the children, inability to get parents involved in treatment, etc. I agree that it would not be a good thing to stop treatment as a critical period such as this. I am pleased that you are enthusiastic about treating this age group.
