If you want more detailed information about the Lidcombe Program you can find it at the website of the Australian Stuttering Research Centre at www.fhs.usyd.edu.au/ASRC/ There you can find references for all the research and download the manual as well. I think that we see variability in most older children following treatment, not only with the LP. I believe that is why it is so important to have a criterion-based programmed maintenance plan that can follow these children through the most fragile time following treatment, which may be the first few months. I can not think of any one program that deals with this any better than the LP.
