Thank you, Ellen-Marie, for a thoughtful article ! I've read a lot of Thich Nhat Hahn's books which I've found helpful in a general way. I'll look into Chodron a bit more. It sounds interesting. This approach is certainly no quick fix, but it will decrease our reactivity over time. Generally I've found that if I can stay mindful of my breathing I tend to get "stuck" less.
