Hi Ellen Marie It is interesting to hear that you were successfull in controlling your stuttering by mindfullness meditation. I myself practiced actively Zen and Satipatana-Vipassana meditation for about 15 years, from my 25th to my 40th year. Although I do not want to miss the insights I gained, my speaking did not improve substantially. My Zen master said that it is important to realize Zen in everyday life. And I found that this was the key of my overcoming of stuttering, when I started realizing the factors governing the stuttering hexagon. So I think that while meditation might substantially help some pws, it is not correct to expect that meditation will relieve stuttering, or any other hang ups. That is at least what all masters teach, we can increase wisdom about ourselves and about our suffering. kind regards, Stefan
