Hi Carissa, I hope you do interview someone who stutters. It does not have to be an assignment so long as you indicate to your prospective interviewee why you are interested in his or her story. It might be useful to your subject to receive a copy of his the story, which makes it a win-win situation. There is no guarantee that you will get into emotional issues; it depends almost entirely on the person's experiences and preferences. Still, it is a privilege for someone to tell you his or her story and that does carry some positive emotion. Good luck. Ken
