Hi Dale, I’m seriously considering attending the next NSA Conference in Long Beach in 2006. I participated in a couple of workshops at the Convention in Anaheim back in 2002. I have come a long way since then. My diary of speaking engagements for next year already extends well into double figures, and involves travelling to Sweden and Finland. Having retired from the Police Service, I have drawn extensively upon my capital during the past few years, while fulfilling these engagements. Having said that, I’m still hopeful that I will be able to make California in June/July 2006. The speech-language graduate clinicians who heard me speak at Temple University, Philadelphia in August, and the members of the NSA Chapter who attended my workshop in that same city a few days later, will no doubt confirm that humour (or humor) ;-) is a major ingredient of all my presentations. Your article tends to suggest that you have a similar leaning :-)
