Barbara, Congratulations on an outstanding paper that deals so closely to the lives that thousands of us live. I, too, just turned 50 and you touched a real place in my heart when you described how we've spent a lifetime in trying to constantly convince ourselves that we're as valid as all others, though we wrestle with that concept every second of every day (and even every night in sleep, it seems.) You're achievement with your Masters made, in particular, a poignant point to me -- go for what you want regardless of the fear of rejection or judgment in the eyes of others. I opted for a career in banking at age 18, starting college, only because I could pronounce "Finance" -- my true dream and love was to be an architect all during my youth -- but you know the rest, don't you -- passed on that route -- couldn't pronounce it! And I've regretted it over a lifetime. Thank YOU for your incredible example of courage and strength to never quit following your dream -- despite crossing that old "5-0" barrier! Great, great story, Barbara. I'm anxious to see more of your journey as it develops. Keep us all informed on the chat list. Chris
