I think you should support them trying NOT to hide their stuttering. It is better to say the words they truly want to say, even if they stutter horribly on them. I would teach them it is a way to be true and honest with themselves. To hide and cover up is an extreme way to buy into the establishment on not accepting themselves. They need to be proud of who they are. I am not an expert, but this is how I would want myself to be handled if I were the child. Thanks, Barb
