Hi Genesis, thanks for your comments. In response to your question, i would only do a presentation such as this when i felt that the child was ready for such a level of openness. typically there would be a number of steps/stages we would have passed through before confronting stuttering in such a public forum. i would discuss this activity as a choice he could make only when appropriate. I have done this with kids as part of a talk that begins with discussing the concept of "Speech" or "Communication" and then move into stuttering more specifcally. or, i have done this as part of a program called, "everybody Counts" and we target speech and stuttering. There are other creative ways to bring this into the students curriculum without much difficulty.
