Hello African Authors - especially my good friend Moussa Dao from Burkina Faso, ..... Your papers are sooooo inspiring! While we in the United States "struggle" with our stuttering and our own stuttering organizations, it is hard to imagine the difficulties that you all face in Africa. I go to sleep at night in a comfortable bed in a comfortable, relatively accepting society, and worry about the air conditioning in my car. Then reality dawns on me and I realize how easy we have it over here! Your work and dedication for people who stutter is almost beyond our ability to imagine. ..... I belong to an organization called Toastmasters International. Several years ago we had a theme of "Building a Better World through Toastmasters" which I thought was wonderful. But when I see people like yourselves working against all odds to build a better world for people who stutter, I am overwhelmed with admiration for all you do. ..... From purely a "paper" viewpoint, I really appreciate all the pictures on your presentation. It makes what you say come alive! A picture is worth a thousand words! (And thanks to Judy Kuster for putting those pictures in the presentation. I know it isn't trivial to do that!) ..... Keep up the good work! You are truly building a better world! God bless you - and all that you do!! ..... Russ Hicks, Dallas, Texas, USA. And proud member of the National Stuttering Association, website is www.WeStutter.org.
