Thank you Kylee for your interest in our work. Indeed, I have noticed an appreciable improvement in my speech from my engagement in the self-help group. However, I know that I have to stay vigilant; when I tend to talk rapidly, the quality of my speech decreases. I had no previous experience of group therapy, but I had experience of group work in the professional field. I therefore adapted the same methodology to our self-help group. The core value is that each and every member is valuable and resourceful, and my only task was to create the appropriate set-up for them to get the best out of themselves. Concerning the therapy content, I had recourse to books but more importantly, from my own experience with SLP in the past. However, the group was not accompanied by any SLP. If you wish to have more information on the content of our therapy, kindly write to us on parole.espoir@yahoo.com and we will get back to you.
