Alan, ..... I enjoyed reading your paper. Nice job! ..... From one old guy to another, have you figured out how to use text messaging on your cell phone yet? Geeeeezzz.... I bit the bullet a month or so ago and paid the $5.00 a month more to allow me to send text messages from my cell phone. But it takes me FOREVER to create a message! I sent a message to a friend of mine saying "Gary, how about lunch tomorrow? Russ" and it took me nearly half an hour to get it sent! But if I was 15 years old, I could have sent it in 10 seconds - with one hand! What are us old guys missing??? Please Ma, I'd rather just TALK! ..... Regarding voice chat, I agree that I'm one of the ones who avoids those things. I don't think it has anything to do with stuttering, but when I sit down at my computer, my communication just naturally flows out my fingers than my mouth. And unless there's been a remarkable breakthrough in the last several years, voice chat has just never been trouble free. And the packages I've used are a one-on-one chat rather than a true conference-call chat when everyone can talk at once. I remember that was one of the real struggles in the early days of StutteringChat. The founder (I forget his name) changed voice chat programs at least once a week trying to get the absolute latest technology. And all but the most dedicated voice chatters simply gave up. Has it changed much since the olden days? ..... My best, ..... Russ
