Hi Dave, At one time, I owned three Edinburgh Maskers, having purchased them from other PWS who had decided not to persevere with that approach. In view of my employment as a police officer, it gave me assurance to hold them in reserve in case of emergencies (mechanical breakdown, damage etc). When I stopped using the device, I disposed of two of them to existing long-term users. Since 2001, I have undertaken an extensive programme of talks to community groups in an effort to increase public awareness about stuttering. As part of my presentation, I demonstrate the Masker to the audience. Consequently, I wish to retain it, although I would never consider using it for daily use. When Findlay Irvine (the original suppliers) ceased trading in Scotland, the manufacture was transferred to a company located near Exeter in the South West of England. However, my understanding is that they relinquished responsibility after a relatively short period of time. I'm sorry but I am not aware of the existence of any subsequent supplier. May I respectfully suggest that you consider posting an appropriate post to some of the major stuttering-related international Internet groups, such as Stutt-L, Stutteringsupport, Stutteringchat and, maybe, neurosemanticsofstuttering. Over the years, several members of those groups have mentioned that they no longer utilise their apparatus. I passed their addresses to the late Marty Jezer, who also wished to acquire a spare device. Incidentally, the latter three groups are to be found on Yahoo. If you are unable to find the relevant links, please contact me via a private email. I'm sorry that I can't be of any other assistance. Kindest regards Alan
