I really enjoyed your article on technology, and thought it brought up many good points that I hadn’t thought of before. As a person who doesn’t stutter, I look at paying for gas at the pump as a time saver, instead of a way to get out of communicating. I had never realized how it could become an avoidance technique for people who stutter. The rate at which technology is growing right now, there are going to be many methods available for people to avoid communicating face to face. I think it is very important as therapist that we address these issues with our clients, and encourage them to be strong and not use these methods.
