Hi Mr. Bates, I have question for you. In your article you speak of many 'techniques' or thought processes that you use before speaking to reassure your inner self that you are capable of speaking as you wish. But, do you have any 'techniques' that you use if you still block? In other words, techniques or thoughts that you use DURING stuttering/blocking to get out of the stutter/block rather than before speaking. I think relating stuttering to sports is a great way to help kids learn about stuttering and come to understand that stuttering is not as unique as they think. Thanks!!
