Hi Molly. There are times when my speech performance is still not great and there are times when my golf performance is absolutely terrible. In the case of speech, though, some observers have made the unsolicited comment to me that my performance is continuing to improve over time. My golf scores reflect my lack of regular practice. So much for the “outer game”. I think I am also winning the inner game in the sense of learning from my experiences and enjoying life. I know this doesn’t answer the specific question you asked but as I see it we are all playing the inner game in everything we do whether or not we are aware of it. Sometimes we play better than at others. If an inner game technique doesn’t seem to be helping me in a particular situation the reasons are usually fairly obvious when I ask myself what I can learn from this. One thing I have found is that when a technique doesn’t seem to be helping it is often because I am using it in a mindless, ritualistic way. Regards Winton
