It is also important to be able to have self-awareness without self-doubt and over-tightening. Before reading about the inner game books I always thought speech consciousness was the problem because I never blocked when my mind was focused on something other than my speech. But now I think the underlying problem is self-doubt. It is great to be able to be aware of speaking without experiencing self-doubt and interfering with the process by over-tightening.
