Thanks Korin. You wrote: <<I blelive that there is an Inner Game in all of us that needs to be won. Self confidence doesn't come easy and to choose to believe in yourself is a very powerful step to take. Stuttering or not. I believe that there is a power of connection between what one wants to do and the control you have over achieving your goal. The way you invisioned your speech before you attempted to speak is how I look at life. I have to invision where I will be before I act. If I don't feel comfortable with the vision I will find a new way of looking at it until I do.>> Yes, I think just about everyone would experience some kind of emotional block at times when they feel that there is something that they should do or say but they don’t feel comfortable about it. To avoid struggling with ourselves we need to give ourselves permission to do things. I find it helps to recognise that I always have choices. You also asked: <<How is your HFS now? And what are your 'hobbies' you've chosen to connect with for your Inner game?>> The HFS is still there but it doesn’t worry me as much these days. This is partly because I am getting better at accepting what I feel and this means that I don’t react as much. It is also because I am less concerned these days about what other people might think of me. Actually, I don’t think most other people were ever as concerned about it as I thought they were. I think that most people are so bound up in concerns of their own that they only become concerned about other peoples’ problems when they show signs that they think there is something to become alarmed about. My hobbies to connect with the inner game? I have been playing golf more regularly over the last couple of months. I don’t think my scores have improved much but I do hit some good shots when I keep out of my own way. Regards, Winton.
