Hello Ursula. My interest in Tim Gallwey’s books was aroused by an article written by John Harrison (see my exchange with John in the discussion of this paper) and some discussion on one of the email lists for people who stutter. So I suppose I bought the “Inner game of tennis” with the hope that it might help me with my speech. Actually, I think I was just curious to find out what the inner game was about. After I read the book on tennis I decided that I liked it so much that I would read the Inner game of golf – which was even more helpful. You also asked whether I thought these books could help other people with speech struggles. I definitely think they can help some other people. Just the other day I saw a message from someone on one of the email lists suggesting that Inner game of golf was the second best book on stuttering that they had read. Some others have suggested that the Inner game of music has been more helpful because of its emphasis on problems that people have in performing in front of an audience. Regards, Winton
