It just depends upon the size of your school. Technically, one should have 5 to 8% of their school population on their caseloads for fluency disorders (is the setting is an elementary school). Middle and high school settings should have 1 to 2% of the population. However, the higher you go in school, the less likely students will be referred to the speech therapists. The school setting is ideal for treating students who stutter.
