I am so impressed about your article Anita. I am a nurse in a baptist hospital,I dont stutter but have often had a real desire to assist those who stutter. May I please know if you have ever been discriminated or treated in an ill manner because of stuttering? Here at the hospital,some nurses and doctors have often hastily consulted to stutterers for fears that they may be feeling shameful,or may end up in violence as many people here believe that stutterers are violent people. Are you violent? Can you please relate that with the condition? I really appreciate your openness and for being there for me also.
