Thanks for you interest in people who stutter. My whole life through school I've been bullied and discriminated by pupils, teachers and others around me. I was denied the jobs of my dreams and almost lost the strenth to face the next day. Of course I was angry at times, wanting to hurt both those who hurted me as well as myself, but aren't we all angry from time to time? I even get frustrate by people wanting to help me by filling the words for me, as I CAN do that myself. It just takes longer time. And "good advice" is not always helpful: I CAN breath, otherwise I would have choked ny now, and it DOESN'T help me to skip every word's first letter (as you wouldn't understand a word I was saying). But does that make us violent people? I'm not a violent person, on the contrary: I cannot even kill a fly whiping off his dirty feet on my sandwich! Stuttering is not our fault and as such nothing to be ashamed of, but as long as we don't talk about it, others are afraid to ask questions. That's why I am so greatful to Judy and all visitors for their interest in people who stutter. So thanks for asking and please tell your friends and colleages to visit the conference to learn more about stuttering. Keep talking Anita
