In some situations I use speech techniques (the usual ones, such as prolonged and slow speech, pausing and presentation techniques such as taking space, walking around, using body movements and voice control): in front of the class, important phonecalls, at disability meetings (deaf people often try to read my lips). When I give a presentation about stuttering I stutter ahead, as that's what my presentation is all about. Other presentations it all depends on my subject and my audience. But most of the time I just speak and let it come out in any which way. It's not how you stutter. It's how you communicate. Some people sho are fluent are lousy speakers. Some people who stutter have won Toastmaster awards... Anita How do you avoid stuttering and what types of techniques do you use to not stutter during oral presentations?
