Hi Julie, I am wondering what you mean by "don't care too much?" Is it that the child doesn't care about being in speech, about the problem, about the monitoring chart? In stuttering therapy, the child may not care about the problem (it doesn't bother them) but we are still teaching skills in order to improve fluency/reduce tension associated with stuttering. I set up the self-charting procedure from the start and it has been a very positive strategy for clients. Clarify for me what you were thinking so that I can better respond. Good question..
