Hi Linda, I think you are exactly right. The Blog is a great place for others to leanr what children think about their stuttering. A year ago, we held a contest called "Fluency Fantasies Across America" where children who stutter wrote stories about their stuttering. I think their submissions, or stories like them, should be mandatory reading for anybody working with children who stutter. You really do get to see that the affective and cognitive components of stuttering are just as important, if not more so, than the behavioral component. Thanks for your question--great point!
