Thank you for your posting, Linda. I agree that kids who are able to handle teasing themselves have an advantage. That is why I have the questions about needing/gettng help from an adult. Dealing with teasing is a "process." I have had kids express great pride when they had formerly needed to seek help and are now able to check the box that says they didn't need it. When school age kids go on "vacations" from therapy or to infrenquent "tune up" visits, I send the form home to do with the family. I haven't had a problem (knock on wood) getting help from the school yet, but keeping copies of the form over time might be a way of documenting the scope of the problem.
