I agree that stuttering should be treated from both a speech perspective and a psychological perspective. I agree that many of the behaviors that are associated with stuttering are formed from psychological causes. I find your presentation wonderful because it shares an approach that you have found successful for 95% of the people who enrolled. I enjoyed reading how you approach stuttering at the Stuttering Treatment Center of Shanghi Xuhui Education Institute. What I especially find impressive and important is the three year follow up of stuttering behaviors. If one doesn’t follow up, they don’t know the true efficacy of their program. Do you plan on following up after 5 years, maybe 10 years to see if you see results of your program continue? What happens when a person who at one time showed few or no stuttering behaviors began stuttering again? Do you provide them with follow up treatment or do they have to go elsewhere for therapy?
