Mia.... YOU ASKED... In your experience, what has been most beneficial to you during or after a moment of stuttering has occured when interacting with others (An SLP, parent, teacher, friend, etc.)? Was there a specific strategy that was presented to you that worked the best? ... MY RESPONSE ... That's kind of like a fluency technique question, and as such didn't really apply to me. My stuttering was in the form of a silent block. Early on, it was very clear that I was afraid to express myself with the full force of my personality. I was constantly holding back. Since I didn't have any struggle behavior, I didn't have bad habits to unlearn. All of my issues revolved around recognizing, accepting, validating, and accepting the real me. Thanks for the question. ....John
