I just want to say that I was truly amazed by your article. I think you have given your readers an eye-opening experience; you've provided encouragement to find the light at the end of the tunnel where this group will no longer feel oppressed. As a graduate student, what else can we do to advocate against this oppression? I definitely think it's most important to defend those and not allow others to use improper, negative stereotypical language. I must say that you hit it right on the nose when you said "stuttering generally carries a stigma". Unfortunately that is absolutely true. How do we "undo" that stigma and even defend PWS from bullies at all ages? I really liked how you included that others "concentrate on proving the disability label wrong". There are many, many successful PWS out there; we need to focus on strengths and not on weaknesses, in every individual. You truly have opened my eyes, and thank you for that. What an insightful article.
