Dear Mr. Hicks, I am pursuing a graduate degree in speech-language pathology at NYU. This semester I am taking a Fluency Disorders class and our professor informed us about Stuttering Awareness Day. I really enjoyed reading your article because you used humor to help you discuss an important topic. You are able to inspire others by discussing your difficulties openly. In the beginning of the article, you mentioned how the experience of going to a "speech correction camp" was very painful for you. I was wondering if you received any other forms of speech therapy besides fluency shaping, either in your childhood or as an adult, and how it has affected you? Thank you, Amy Furth
