Hello Elizabeth, ..... Yes, we ALL touch many more lives than we realize - or will EVER realize. It's an amazing realization. ..... Oh yes, I realize that 99% of people who stutter do NOT consider stuttering a gift. Certainly it's a major nuisance a lot of the time. But considering all that stuttering has allowed me to do, it's absolutely been a gift for ME. ..... When did I start considering it a gift? Actually I guess it began to dawn on me when that girl gave me that message at that school and the teachers were so amazed at what happened. That was about in 1990 when I was about 50 years old. It took a few days for that to sink in on me even then, but when it did, I really began to wonder what magic that ** I ** had that allowed me to get through to some people that no one else could. Then the incident with the guy at Toastmasters in about 1995 and the little Chinese girl in about 1996. About that time I began to do regional workshops for the NSA which I've done about 13 so far all over the United States. So it really hasn't been all that long. I was well into my 50's before I began to grasp what amazing opportunities I had been given. It's been quite a journey! ..... My very best to you! ..... Russ
