Russ- I absolutely loved reading your story. I think it is amazing that you are able to look at your stuttering as a gift, although it took years for that to happen in your life; my hope is that all PWS are able to find some small gift in their stuttering at some point in their lives. I am curious about the "speech correction camp" that you attended as a child. Do you know what year these types of camps stopped running? I never knew such a thing existed-how interesting! Do you look back on this as a beneficial experience? I can imagine that it was nice to be surrounded by other children who were 'just like you' for two weeks. Did you find that to be a useful part of your experiences there? Any thoughts on how this idea could be translated to a more educated and helpful model for CWS today? Thank you so much for your article. It is truly inspiring. Keep up the positive attitude and all your successful work with Toastmasters! Take Care! -Tina (Undergrad Communication Science & Disorders major in Albany, NY)
